Webinars for financial advisors

Financial advisors have a pretty unique roll and several unique challenges.  Good news:  here’s an upcoming webinar just for you, and all who register will get a copy of a new white paper coming out co-researched by yours truly:

Oct 7, 2010, 1pm ET, register here:  How Advisors Can Promote and Deliver Engaging Webinars

Special event + paper: Promote/deliver engaging webinars

This is a two-for-one…

The opportunity, when you register for this webinar, is to get both the first-copy-anywhere results of recent study I conducted with Bob Hanson at Quantum Leap Marketing and a best-practices webinar based on that research.

UNLIKE many studies-turned-events, the two are very different…hence the two-for-one.  The good news:  whether you want the numbers or the ‘how-to,’ you’ll get it in one quick registration process.

Oh, and 15 copies of The Virtual Presenter’s Handbook are up for grabs, too, which is one reason to attend the event!

See you there?

Webinar for Europe: Using webinars for lead generation

One thing I get tired of is blog posts that scratch the surface.  You know the type…”how to generate a million leads with webinars,” and their advice reminds you to invite people and send a reminder email.

This webinar, I trust, will be a little different.  For instance, I’m not going to tell you to send a “thank you,” I’m going to use the thank you email (assumed as a no-brainer) and share how to optimize it beyond the completely obvious.

Webinar for Europe: How to use web conferencing to accelerate meetings and communications

I recently saw a study where respondents BOTH complained about the frequency and duration of meetings AND secretly noted that they liked them.

Whatever your stance, one thing is probably true for you…most meetings could be a lot more effective.

As I often say, web conferencing for meetings isn’t the answer to everything, but if you’re not using them as part of your communications mix, you’re likely missing out on a serious competitive advantage.

  • How to capture – and keep – attention virtually
  • Techniques for gathering data, generating ideas and accelerating action

Webinar: How to plan, design, and deliver an effective virtual event

Just this weekend I got an unsolicited email from a fan:

“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for that fabulous webinar.  It made my first webinar extremely successful.  I traveled to several schools that attended my first webinar and was greeted by staff members who told me they didn’t look forward to my 90 minute webinar because they had attended several boring ones during the course of the school year but were excited to meet me in person to tell me how engaging mine was.  I have only you to thank.  I took the advice you gave us on that webinar, watched the “rerun” more than once and then started planning mine.  Thanks so much for your expertise, for your blog and for your book.  I look forward to reading your next one!”

I trust that this says more than I could have said about myself.  I’d be remiss if you didn’t take your own webinars to the next level.

Webinar for Europe: How to move your training programme online

One of the things you’ll never hear come out of the mouth of me or my team is that webinars should replace all face-to-face training.  That’s stupid.

BUT…if you’re not executing part of your training program in live webinars, you’re likely missing out.

•    How to “make eye contact” in a virtual training environment
•    3 ways you can immediately engage multitasking learners
•    4 common Webinar mistakes and how to avoid them

Australia in October: hands-on master classes

If you’ve heard me speak, you’ve probably heard me say that I think every form of communicating has its valid and rightful place in the mix – and that in-person sessions are still valid.

I’ll be in Australia in October deliver three-hour masterclasses that are both face-to-face AND participants are invited to bring their laptops to have a hands-on session – using conferencing – while in the F2F session!  THIS is going to be fun.

Webinar: how to avoid the seven deadly sins of online presentations

Based on the research that I’ve done, this webinar will deliver practical “so what do I do about it” ways to avoid the mistakes others are making.
